Chapter 4 The Lost Frisket

“Billy, Where are you?” yelled Marty as he looked for his little round pal.

*~*~*

“Whoa!” exclaimed Billy. “Where am I?” he confusedly asked himself. Billy approached a hall with doors as far as he could see. There were little doors, huge doors, and colored doors. He didn’t know what to do or what door to enter so he walked hastily toward the first diminutive door. Billy was curious to know what was inside of it. Slowly, Billy opened the door only to be greeted by another door. He continually kept opening the doors-one after another-hoping to find an exit to this nightmare. Finally, he opened a door and saw a bowl of fruit on a stand with lights surrounding it. “I’m starved!” Billy noticed. As he reached for a fire engine red apple, he noticed another door beside him.

The door was different from the others. It had a marking on it. This doors was not a rectangle like the others, but a square. Just a bit bigger than Billy himself. It frightened him so much that he dropped his apple right from his hand. As he walked to this sight, he found a knife, a butter knife to be exact. Even though he thought it wouldn’t do him much good, Billy put the knife in his pocket, just in case.

*~*~*

This door was extraordinary. It was tie-dye and had a small scroll unrolling as Billy slowly approached it.

Princess Jenna
Your father, the great King Leo, has requested that you keep your secret identity private. He wants to keep you safe. Stay in your hide out until the war is over. We cannot risk your safety. The Pixlets will be plotting to take you away. We will not let that happen. If anyone finds out who you truly are, contact us immediately. We will take care of you. Do not make friends. Your brother is safe sleeping in the cave. No creature uses the path anymore. Check on him when you can. They will only give you away to the enemy. I know you are a Trixlet in your body, but you are still his beautiful Frisket daughter at heart. I love you. Stay safe.
-The Royal Family

“Oh my goodness!” Billy said, and he decides to enter the revealing door. ”I can’t believe this! The princess is in here.”

*~*~*

“Hey Marty?” Ike asked hastily. “I think I know where Billy is.”
“Where is he then?” Marty asked.
“Um,” Ike whispered.
Marty shouted loudly in the echoing cave, “We need to save him. Tell me!”
“Okay! He is in Princess Jenna’s lair.
Marty was very confused. “How do you know? Did you put him in there?”
“No! No! I would never do that! It’s scary in there, and dangerous.” Shouted Ike.
“What? Well, then we have to get him out of there now!”
“Okay, I’ll show you the way,” Ike said to Marty.

*~*~*

“Ah!” yells Billy when an unexpected visitor greets him.
The Princess’ bodyguards or at least he thinks were the Princess’ bodyguards walked up to him saying nothing. They grabbed him by the arms and took him away.
Billy woke up dizzy and very disoriented. He didn’t know where he was, or how he got there. When he stood up, he was in what seemed to be a really big cage, with no one about. Billy wass really scared and didn’t know what to do.

*~*~*

Marty and Ike were still looking for Billy. Meanwhile, they decided to split up, Marty went to the left and Ike went to the right.
“Let’s be back in about ten minutes,” the two buddies decided.
A blast of “something” takes its course for Ike.
“Marty! HELP!” Ike helplessly shouted as he fell down a trap door much like the one Billy had gone down before him. Although, it was similar to the route Billy had taken, it definitely had its differences. Like the fact that Ike’s tunnel had lead him straight to the cage that Billy was currently in.

“Ahhhhh!” Ike shouted until he bounced into the bottom of the cage. Billy was startled by it, but then realized that the screaming was coming from Ike.
“Oh! Billy! I found you! Although now I think that I might be lost too.” Ike commented.
“I don’t know, but I think we might be getting ourselves involved in some royal trouble!” Billy exclaimed.

*~*~*

“Ike!? Where are you? Did you find Billy?” Marty wondered as he ran back to find Ike.

Chapter 3 Billy Goes Down a Water Slide

Chapter 3
Billy Goes Down a Water Slide

“Boys wake up!” shouted Ike. “You fainted right after ya saw me. I mean, I know I’m kinda ugly but ya could at least have said hi.”
Ike took a water bottle out of Marty’s be boys backpack and dumped it on and boys in an attempt to wake them up. Billy and Marty sprang up like two jack-in-the-boxes shouting some word that twelve-year-olds shouldn’t say.
“What the heck was that for?!” Billy screamed at the blob.
“Yah, now we’re soaking wet. Thanks a lot,” Marty said sarcastically.
“Well sorry guys. I needed yall to wake up. Right after you saw me ya fainted, I kinda though that you died,” replied Ike.
“What? Who are you?” asked Marty.
“I already told you, I’m Ike.”
“Ok. What are you?”
“I’m an Icklet. I’m from Izanniea. It’s south of here,” answered Ike.
“What are you doing here?” asked Billy.
“Yah, why are you in the passage through Mount Tanaya?” Marty asked.
“Wow, you boys sure do ask a lot of questions, and lucky for you I don’t mind answering them. As I already said my name is Ike Cooper. I am from the island of Izanniea and I come up here to Tikuihe every spring to vacation in this mountain,” started Ike.
“Why do you vacation in this mountain? Isn’t there a mountain in Izanntanea where you can go?” interrupted Billy.
“It’s Izanniea, and I come to this mountain because I know it has this empty passage where I can be alone,” replied Ike.
“It still doesn’t make sense. I mean I’m sure that there is somewhere on Izictitania where you can be alone,” Billy replied.
“Once again it’s Izanniea, and you two keep asking me why I’m here when I should be asking you why you’re here. You look like your only kids.”
“Hey who are you calling kids? You look pretty young yourself. So we want some real answers on why you’re here. We’ve had enough with these lies,” Marty stated.
“Ok you right, I am young. I’m really only twelve and I don’t come here to vacation I have other reasons,” Ike confessed.
“Wow that was easy. I was just kidding; I didn’t even know he was lying. I’m good,” said Marty triumphantly.
“So what’s your story?” asked Billy.
“Well, you see my parents died when I was only three so I was sent to live in an orphanage, but I hated the fact that those Icklets weren’t my real parents. So when I was seven I had finally gotten enough courage to run away and I have been living on the streets ever since.”
After Ike was finished telling his story Billy and Marty felt so bad for him. They just stood there in an awkward silence because neither of them knew what to say.
“Hey, so if yall need any help with your trip, I know my way through the mountains pretty well. I mean that is if you want my help,” Declared Ike.
“That would be great! Do you know the way to west Tikuihe? The Pixlet side,” asked Billy.
Marty pulled Billy toward the cave wall so Ike wouldn’t over hear.
“I don’t know, do you really think it’s such a good idea to bring this snot blob with us? He seems kinda suspicious.
“Marty don’t be such a fraidy cat. Ike seems pretty cool,” insisted Billy.
“Yah he seems cool now but he won’t be too cool when were on his dinner table with apples in our mouths.”
“What are you talking about? Ike won’t eat us,” Began Billy.
“Well ya know I can hear everything yall sayin, and I won’t eat ya. I’m a vegetarian,” stated Ike.
“Fine, I know I’ll regret this, but ok you can come with us. After all Billy and I really have no clue where we’re going. Ok Billy take out your flashlight and let’s go”
Billy took out his mini L.E.D. flashlight and the two of them started following Ike through the long narrow hallways that twisted and turned through the maze of the mountains. They continued walking until Ike stopped to ask a few more questions.
“So why are ya guys going over to West Tikuihe? Don’t Friskets and Pixlets not get along to well?”
“Well my grandma told us the story about the history of Tikuihe so me and Billy decided that we are going to reunite Tikuihe,” answered Marty.
“You mean to tell me that yall goin to reunite a island that has been separated for hundreds of years?” teased Ike.
“We’re going to try at least,” Marty partitally knew they were most likely to fail in their quest but he still hoped that they might succeed and become heroes.
“So what are you going to do on the Pixlets’ side?” asked Ike.
“Well we got some spy equiptment from Al’s Spy Shop and,” started Marty but was interrupted by a cave shaking boom that made a few stlagtites fall from the icy ceiling. The boys stopped in their tracks and stayed completely silent. They felt like they had been standing here for hours when in reality only a few minutes went by.
“So now what? What was that noise?” asked Billy.
“I have no idea,” answered Ike.
“Let’s just continue walking the sooner we get out the sooner we’re safe. Just be careful, we must have stepped on something,” instructed Marty.
Step by step the boys were walking as slow and as careful as they could. Everything was going well until Billy decided to step away from the others and looked into a small pond by the cave wall.
Billy knew that he shouldn’t have left Marty but he really didn’t think that there would be another earthquake. That little pond that Billy was looking at was looking at almost didn’t look like a real pond. It was a metallic blue-purple color. Billy was standing there hypnotized by the shining color of the silver sparkles that seemed to desend down into the depths of the pond. He was just about to leave the hypnotic pond and catch out with the others when his foot slipped off the edge and Billy went sliding feet first into the pond down about twenty of thirty feet down lower underground.
“AHHHH!!! Marty! Ike! HELLLLLLP!” Those were the only words Billy could force his mouth to say. He wanted to say something like Help Someone I fell into a underground pond and am now sliding down to my death where no one will ever find me. Unfortunately none of those words seemed to come out.
“To Billy’s surprise the water seemed to get lower and he had no trouble breathing. At the bottom of the slide Billy swam up and out of a small enterance pond in a huge circular room with ten foot domed ceiling. Lined up along all the walls were floor to ceiling black marble pillars. At the enterance was the small pond that kept the room from flooding. Billy sat there in awe, his mind was racing with hundreds of different thoughts. Where am I. Why is there a giant room in the middle of the mountains, where are Marty and Ike, how will I get out, and many others.
He stood up and noticed a small wood plaque with words carved into it hanging on one of pillars on the far wall. He walked over to and read it..

My Dearest Jenna,
I have ventured deep within these mountains and dug out this secret chamber to keep you safe if the Pixlets ever choose to disobey our treaty and attack. If that should ever happen just come in here and you will be safe. I have also dug you a hide out on West Tikuihe also for your safety. I left a map to that chamber under the floor boards in your bedroom.
Your Father,
King Leo III

Billy stood there confused about why there was a secret chamber for the king’s daughter, and not the kings entire family. He decided to take the plaque and show Marty. Maybe he had an answer. Billy took the plaque and shoved in into his backpack then walked around the room looking for another way out.
On his first way around he didn’t see anything but on his second inspection he noticed a small indent in the wall just next to the small pond he had come out of. The indent was about two feet by one foot( a small spot for a Frisket to get through) but he had to try and see where it went. Billy kicked the spot as hard as he could and the wall crumbled around it leaving a hole in the wall with a ladder going up. He squeezed in and started climbing.

Chapter 2 Marty's Idea

“So what’s you idea?” Billy asked curiously.
“Ok, here it is, I think we should go through the mountains to see the Pixlets!” Marty said.
“Are you out of your mind?! We can’t go over there, it is way too dangerous!” Billy screamed.
Marty agreed that it was pretty dangerous, but he still wanted to go. One day after school Marty snuck out to go buy some super spy gear at Al’s Spy Shop located on the coast. He needed the gear so he could see the Pixlets without actually getting to close so King Leo III would see him and throw him in jail.
Once he got to Al’s, he bought some binoculars, a black and gray camouflage outfit, and a camera so he could show Billy what he had seen. Marty walked up to the register, put the items on the counter, and stepped back. Al took one look at Marty and said,
“Are you kidding me kid?!”
“What?” Marty asked kind of confused (as always).
“You have to be eighteen years old to buy this high tech equipment. Didn’t you read the sign?” Al yelled again.
Without saying anything else Marty put all the items back on the shelves and ran to Billy’s house. He had another idea.
“Billy!” Marty shouted as he ran through the back door of Billy’s house.
“Marty is that you?” Billy shouted from the top floor of the circular Frisket home.
“Yeah it’s me.”
“Come up to my room, I have to tell you something!” Billy exclaimed.
Marty quickly sprinted up the spiral staircase to Billy’s room and asked Billy what was it that he was going to say.
“I’ve been thinking about going to the Pixlet’s side of the island, and if you still wanted to go, I’ll go too,” Billy stated.
“Great!!” Marty shouted, “Because I need you help. I need you nineteen year old cousin to help me buy something from the spy shop.”
“Okay,” Billy already knew where Marty was going with this.
Billy called his cousin and surprisingly he bough the stuff for them without asking what it was for. Marty and Billy needed a plan for when to go to the Pixlet’s side of the island. They decided that they would go on Friday after school when both of their parents went bowling together. It was settled.
*~*~*

Finally Friday had come; the boys had their plan set.
“Bye boys.” shouted Billy’s mom as she walked out the door for bowling.
Once the door closed Billy and Marty ran to get changed into their camouflage outfits, got their cameras and binoculars, and took off for the mountain passage. Once they went through town and made it to the mountains Billy mad a not so happy comment.
“I…I… I don’t want to go!” Billy whimpered to Marty.
“NO! No way! You are not going to flake out on me now man!” Marty screamed.
“Well, what if we get caught over there, King Leo III could throw us in jail and then when our parents get home from bowling they would call the police and go mad trying to find us! When they finally find us in JAIL we will be grounded until the end of the earth!!” screamed Billy back at Marty.
“That will never happen, I know you don’t believe me, but you just have to trust me,” Marty said trying to convince Billy to go along with him.
“Okay, Fine.” Billy said. “I trust you.”
With that they walked slowly through the eerie, creepy, dark, gloomy, sad, scary (well you get the picture) pathway through the mountains.
About ten feet into the passage Marty noticed a big green blob laying on a rock near the wall of the passage.
“What is that?” Marty whispered curiously.
“I have no idea, but I think we should stay away from it,” Billy said softly so the thing wouldn’t hear him.
“I think you’re right,” Marty whispered again.
Mary and Billy tip-toed past the blob slowly and once they passed it completely the big green blob shouted something.
“Well, hello boys! Where are yall headed at this hour? My name is Ike.” it said with a strange southern accent the boys, or any other Frisket for that matter, had ever heard before.

Chapter 1 Grandma's Story

Chapter 1
Grandma’s Story

“Hey Grandpa can you tell us the story about the history of Tikuihe?” Marty asked.
“No, not right now Marty,” replied Marty’s Grandpa.
“Come on Mr. Woods we really wanted to hear your story. You tell the best stories,” said Marty’s best friend Billy.
“Why don’t you just go ask someone else, every person on the island knows the story,” answered Grandpa Hickory.
“Awe! But Grandpa you tell the stories the best,” wined Marty.
“Honey, your Grandpa is not in a good mood so I’ll tell you the story,” said Grandma.
“Thanks Grandma Lola I knew that you would be the one who ended up telling us the story. Ok, Billy you will now finally find out the history of our island of Tikuihe.”
“What do you mean, I already know the story, I just love to hear it,” replied Billy.
“Well I know, my grandparents tell the story all the time and I told them you hadn’t heard it so they would tell the long version instead of the short version,” said Marty.
“I don’t understand, that makes no sense, why didn’t you just ask for the long version?” asked Billy somewhat confused.
“I don’t know, does it really matter!?”
“No it doesn’t so let’s get started!”
“Ok kids are you ready for the history of Tikuihe?” asked Grandma.
“Yah we are Grandma so LETS GET STARTED!!” shouted Marty.
“Ok, well when Tikuihe first became an island around the 1800s, I’m not sure of the exact date; there were only Friskets no Pixlets because at that time everything was paradise. There was no war, no known horrible illnesses, and everyone was nice to one another. No one knew what was right and what was wrong so no one was better than anyone else. Times were simpler then, less to worry about,” started Grandma Lola, but she was interrupted by Marty.
“Grandma all this stuff is kinda interesting, but when are you going to get to the really interesting stuff?” complained Marty as he stared to eat a cookie off the plate of fresh baked peanut butter cookies his Grandpa just brought out for them.
“Hold your horses Marty, all of this information is important to the history of Tikuihe. Now where was I?” asked Grandma Lola, as she picked up a cookie.
“You were talking about how Tikuihe used to be perfect,” answered Billy.
“Oh yah well, Tikuihe was never perfect, nowhere is perfect. In Tikuihe there were always the Friskets who disagreed with what Tikuihe was doing.”
“But Grandma how could someone disagree if there is nothing to disagree about?” asked Marty.
“Well boys, after about fifty years of paradise Tikuihe started to crumble, because there was no government. Everybody started to get used to living on Tikuihe and then robberies started and other kinds of crime started because no one knew right from wrong.
Well one man named Nemmel Leeman called a meeting of the residents of Tikuihe to establish some kind of system of government. During that meeting most of the Friskets agreed to his idea of creating a king, but others did not like the idea because they did not what one Frisket to be in control of the entire island.”
“Nemmel got the idea and all of the rules of a king ruled island from a Trixlet who had come to the wrong island by mistake. He started a conversation with her about government and how they did not know what to do. That Trixlet, I think her name was Tracie Kelly, told him about how on Tazzinee (the Trixlet Island) they started an island run by a king and queen.”
“At that meeting in 1850 is when Tikuihe’s first king was made, King Nemmel. Soon King Nemmel and Queen Penelope started to build their castle which made the people who were mad about the king even madder,”
“Is that when those Fiskets rebelled against the king and became the Pixlets?” asked Marty as a cookie broke in half in his mouth.
“Yes Marty it is, but it was not that simple.”

*~*~*
“I will not stand for this new way of life!” shouted Gregory Fransiwar as he stood watching the king and queen’s castle being built.
“I’m sorry sir, but the rest of Tikuihe agreed to have a king and queen,” replied King Nemmel.
“I don’t care what Tikuihe agreed to I will not stand for you of all people to run this Island. You were a poor peasant; maybe if someone wealthier became king then I might not mind!”
“Sir I don’t know what to do. If you don’t agree with the ways of Tikuihe then my only suggestion is to move to a different island.”
“Nemmel you know that we do not know much about the lands past Tazzinee! How would I be able to move with my family to a different island?”
King Nemmel just stood there silent while Gregory continued to shout at him about how he did not want to live on Tikuihe any longer. King Nemmel had no idea what to do so he just decided to listen to what Gregory had to say.
“King you are not listening to a word I am saying!” shouted Gregory angrily.
Just as Gregory said, Nemmel was not really listening to him. Instead he was looking toward the mountains that ran across the middle of the island dividing it into two separate areas of land.
“You know what Mr. Fransiwar, I have an idea. Why don’t you, your family, and anyone else who does not agree with my ways move to the other side of the mountains. You can go through the passage in the mountains and start a whole new life on the west side of Tikuihe, nowhere near us.”
Gregory stood silent for a moment before he answered.
“I guess that could work. Before we move to this new part of the island we have to establish some rules regarding the property owned by me,” replied Gregory.
“Well the land that you would own is everything from the mountains west,” answered Nemmel.

*~*~*
“Well Gregory Fransiwar, his family and about twenty other Friskets packed and traveled through the mountain passage to west Tikuihe and started their life away from East Tikuihe,” continued Marty’s Grandma.
Marty picked up his fifth cookie and started to eat it when he noticed that there was something that Grandma left out of the story.
“Grandma, you didn’t tell us how the Friskets changed into Pixlets,” asked Marty.
“And how they changed from round to square?” added Billy
“Ok After a while from being away from the Friskets the ones from West Tikuihe changed their name from Friskets to Pixlets. No one really knows how the Pixlets became square. That is one question that has puzzled the minds of some of the greatest scientists in Tikuihe. Well boys that is the history of Tikuihe and how the Pixlets first became Pixlets.”
“Wow thanks Mrs. Woods that story was awesome thanks for telling it!” said Billy.
“Hey Billy, come with me to my room. I’ve got an idea,” smirked Marty.
